Description

No fermentation needed, the method is simple and quick, the taste is delicious with a rich buttery aroma, and the texture is crispy on the outside while soft and fluffy on the inside. It pairs well with dried fruits or cheese, making it one of the essential treats for traditional British afternoon tea.

Recipe :

1. Mix 100g scone premix, 20g egg, 15g water, and 15g unsalted butter until well combined. Wrap the dough with plastic wrap and let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.

2. Sprinkle some flour on the surface of the table and the dough. Use a rolling pin to flatten the dough to a 2 cm thickness. Use a round cutter to shape the dough into pieces of about 50-55g each, then place them on a baking tray. Brush with egg wash and bake in a preheated oven at 200/150°C for 15 minutes.
